Trustees: Roles and Responsibilities
Farzana Hussain Tithi (Chair)
Assalamu Alaikum,
By the grace of Allah (SWT) it is with great honour that I welcome you to the Centre for Hope and Prosperity (CHP). I feel deeply privileged to have been elected as Chair and entrusted with the responsibility to lead this organisation during its formative years. I pledge to do my very best to build the foundation of CHP both here in the UK and in Bangladesh.
CHP was founded with a clear purpose: to relieve poverty, advance education and health, and promote moral and spiritual well-being. Guided by our core values of Integrity, Dignity, Opportunity, and Community, we aim to empower vulnerable communities through healthcare, education, skills development, and faith-based support.
Our Constitution commits us to ensuring that every resource entrusted to us is used solely for public benefit. From health awareness programmes and maternal wellness, to vocational training, scholarships, and spiritual counselling, CHP’s activities are designed to give people the tools to live with dignity and self-reliance.
Throughout my professional life, in both Bangladesh and the UK, I have worked in leadership, training, and community service roles, while also engaging in voluntary and charitable initiatives. These experiences have strengthened my belief that true leadership means serving others. With CHP, I now have the opportunity to channel that belief into action -creating practical, scalable pathways out of hardship for those most in need.
But this mission cannot be fulfilled alone. We need your support. Whether through donations, volunteering, partnerships, or advocacy, your contribution will help us reach families who lack access to healthcare, education, and opportunity. Together, we can ensure CHP becomes a source of hope and prosperity for generations to come.
I am honoured to walk this path with CHP as Helping Creator. With your support,
I am confident that we can build a stronger, fairer, and more compassionate
future – both in the UK and Bangladesh.
Thank you for your trust and encouragement.

The CHP Constitution reminds us that our mission goes beyond providing services. We are tasked with empowering individuals and communities through accessible healthcare, education, vocational training, and faith-based learning, ensuring dignity, opportunity, and self-reliance for those most in need.
As Islamic Education Lead, I am committed to ensuring that our programmes are rooted in values of compassion, justice, and respect. Through learning centres, counselling, and community engagement, CHP seeks to help individuals strengthen their faith, build resilience, and live purposeful lives. Faith is not separate from development; it is the foundation upon which communities can grow with integrity and hope.
The recent CHP Newsletter highlights how health, skills, education, and spirituality are interlinked. For example, our initiatives in maternal health and vocational training show how practical support combined with moral guidance creates lasting impact. By integrating Islamic principles into our work, we ensure that every activity reflects our belief in serving humanity as an act of serving the Creator.
But to achieve this vision, we need the support of people like you. I warmly invite you to join our journey — through your prayers, volunteering, or contributions — so that together we can strengthen CHP’s foundation and extend its reach to the most vulnerable families.
I am grateful to serve CHP as both Trustee and Islamic Education Lead, and I look forward to working with all of you to bring hope, dignity, and prosperity to our communities.
