The Centre for Hope and Prosperity (CHP)

The Centre for Hope & Prosperity (CHP) is a non-profit initiative dedicated to uplifting marginalized communities and improving lives through compassion, service, and sustainable development.

CHP is established by Dr. AKM Momin, whose lifelong dedication to social good has transformed countless lives in Bangladesh. As one of the driving forces behind the growth and expansion of the Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP), Dr. Momin helped shape a world-class institution that now serves millions across the country.
Building on this legacy, he envisioned CHP as a new charitable platform—devoted to empowering the underprivileged, alleviating hardship, and creating opportunities for dignity and prosperity.

CHP’s journey began in Purnamati, Comilla—Dr. Momin’s ancestral village. Determined to change this reality, Dr. Momin personally financed a six-storey community building, providing a permanent foundation for CHP’s health, education, and empowerment initiatives. This centre stands as a living testament to his vision and sacrifice.

Why Purnamati?
In keeping with the saying “charity begins at home”, Dr. Momin chose to launch CHP in his own village of Purnamati, Comilla. Although the village has produced many intellectuals, it remains one of Bangladesh’s most deprived areas. CHP began here with the goal of planting the seeds of hope and prosperity where they are most urgently needed.

Thanks to the support of local leaders and residents, CHP is already making measurable progress. Dr. Momin has personally funded the construction of a six-storey community building in Purnamati—financed through the sale of his own land and property. Three floors are already complete, and the remaining floors are expected to be finished by the end of this year, standing as a lasting testament to his dedication.

From its beginnings in Purnamati, CHP aims to grow into a movement of hope and prosperity that reaches communities across Bangladesh and beyond. With the collective support of all well-wishers, partners, and supporters worldwide, CHP aspires to bring lasting impact to vulnerable communities—locally, nationally, and globally.
